About
About Long Island Electrician Pros
Long Island Electrician Pros helps Nassau and Suffolk County homeowners get electrical work done by independent, locally licensed electricians, with honest price ranges and plain explanations of Long Island's licensing, inspection and PSEG rules up front.
Who does the work
Who does the work: Long Island Electrician Pros matches you with independent, licensed and insured partner electricians. Your job is quoted and performed by that electrician, not by Long Island Electrician Pros.
We're upfront about this because it matters: we are not an electrical contractor and don't have electricians, trucks or a storefront. When you send a request, it goes to an independent Long Island electrician who covers your area. You get the quote from them, you decide, and you pay them directly. There's no charge to you for using this site.
What we require of electricians
- A current license valid where the work is: a Suffolk County Master Electrician license, or the Nassau town, city or village license where you live. (A Nassau County Home Improvement license doesn't cover electrical work.)
- General liability and workers' compensation insurance.
- Written, itemized quotes that include the permit and inspection agency fee.
- Every job that needs it inspected by an approved agency, and PSEG Long Island coordination handled by the electrician.
Always verify the license and ask for the insurance certificate before work starts. A good electrician won't mind. How to check a license.
Editorial standards
Our guides are written and maintained by the LI Electrician Pros Editorial Team.
We hold them to these rules:
- Prices are ranges, not quotes. They come from published 2026 pricing data, which we cite on each cost page, and will be refined with real job data from our electrician partners.
- Rules link to the source. Licensing and inspection rules are summarized from county and town codes, town pages and PSEG Long Island, and linked so you can check them yourself.
- No fake reviews, photos or credentials. We don't publish testimonials unless they come from real customers, and we don't show stock photos as "our electricians."
- Dated and updated. Each guide shows when it was last updated. We revise pages when prices, rules or incentive programs change.
